Roamsurance started from a problem we kept seeing again and again. With insurance experience behind the project, we saw how often people were unsure what happens when ordinary travel cover runs out after 45, 60 or 90 days. It was especially confusing for people living abroad — remote workers, freelancers, or anyone staying outside their home country longer than a normal holiday. Some could extend their home-country policy for a while; others couldn't. Some had employer cover; others were completely on their own.
Roamsurance is built to make that first comparison easier. It shows selected carriers — who they may fit, where they sell, how claims work, and what trade-offs to check before buying. It doesn't replace the carrier's policy documents or personal advice, but it should make the search feel a lot less confusing.
